BeanLogin Integration with Dropbox

Overview

This guide details the necessary steps to establish SSO for Dropbox using BeanLogin.

The guide assumes that you already have an existing Dropbox Business subscription.

Below are the steps involved in configuration of SSO for Dropbox within BeanLogin

  1. Login to BeanLogin as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Administration >> Access Management >> Corporate Apps.
  3. Click New.
  4. Select Dropbox from the list of apps and click it will give option whether to add as password-vault/SAML based on choice select the proper option and click on Add Selected Apps. It will add apps under corporate section with status as inactive.
  5. Open App in Edit mode, Enter your domain name. (eg: apollomon). Make note of the “Entity Id” value.  This is required to enable SSO within Dropbox.
  6. Click Submit.

SSO Configuration in Dropbox

    1. Sign in to https://dropbox.com with your organization’s Dropbox administrator account.
    2. Click Admin Console from the left hand menu.
    3. Click Settings from the left hand pane.
    4. Select Single Sign-On under Authentication.
    5. For Identity Provider Sign-In URL enter https://host_name/Federation/SAML2SSO.aspx?idpid=xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx as below, where idpid is what you copied from BeanLogin when configuring SSO within BeanLogin.
      https://apollomon.beanlogin.com/Federation/SAML2SSO.aspx?idpid=xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx
    6. For Identity Provider Sign-Out URL, enter the URL as below, https://apollomon.beanlogin.com/Federation/SAML2SLO.aspx.
    7. In the x.509 Certificate field, upload a .pem version of the cert below. You may use any tool like OpenSSL to convert the below .cer file to .pem format.     8. Copy the SSO Sign-In URL and save your settings.
    9. Go back to BeanLogin SSO Configuration page and edit the settings for Dropbox.
    10. Remove the value in the AppURL field and paste the SSO sign-in URL you copied from above.
    11. Click Save.

Provisioning Configuration in BeanLogin

You can enable the provisioning from the two places

  1. From Corporate App Edit where you have last step as Provisioning.
  2. From Identity Management -> Endpoint Provisioning Section.

Once you enabled the provisioning don’t change any other value from page. On Submit you will be redirected to the Dropbox site, give permission to BeanLogin App to access your account.
